Oh, you want to combine multiple files? WHAT THE HELL FOR??!! YOU CAN JUST DRAG SELECT ANYTHING FOR PRINT and if you really must view it like a book theres BRIDGE and window views and things like that. not to mention that you can just maximize the window and look at the thumbnails.

The idea was to see how ridiculously red can I make something. I used Magenta, Rose Madder, Alizarin, Cad Orange and Indian Yellow. And Burnt Umber and, (oh yes) Prussian Blue for the darks. Mix Alizarin and Cad orange sometime, and see what you get.

P.S. This horse dude is from the savagely difficult SNK game "Athena". World of Ice, dude.

I have read the reviews of this movie online and here is what I have to say on the subject.
First of all, every review I read was more or less a disorganized summary of the plot rather than a review, which is a mistake you would normally make in high school. Second, and more importantly, it seems to me that most reviewers found no central thread of significance in the movie aside from a type of japanese pop-culture extravaganza. These people should stick with Wolverine. There is no difference between this reaction and the blank stare of a child who sees something he does not yet understand: the literary flourish is an attempt to distract the reader from this fact.
The drawbacks of the movie that were often cited in the reviews were slowness of pace and ... the randomness of the more surreal sections of the movie, I guess. Well, these are also telltale signs that the reviewer fails to discern the thoughts being revealed in the footage: a dialogue section the meaning of which is not understood seems boring and overly long; a surreal sequence that the viewer does not recognize seems random and wanton. To give an example: the 4th shot of the movie is a sequence where the main character is crossing the street. This shot is filmed from behind the main character, offsetting his single figure against the many people crossing the street in the opposite direction. Just a little after that there is a long shot of the main character walking past a bus stop. There is a high school girl sitting on the bus stop and texting somebody. We see how she reels from him even as he approaches, although he seems to ignore her. He walks past. It is a very brief and subtle thing, but by this point in the movie you should be paying attention. It is a very long sequence: about 15 seconds. There are other people on the street but as he approaches the edge of the screen the camera moves to follow but always keeping the bus stop inside the frame as the distance between them increases. This little move offers a helping hand to the impaired.

To those who have seen this movie. Do you think that the questions of the interviewer were not questions that the main character himself wanted to ask? Of himself, and the people he knew? Do you think the Strangling monster looks like a politician and the Jumping monster like a TV personality? Do you think the Stink monster looks like an average commercial provider of sex and the Penis monster looks like an overeager teenager who is the most easily influenced through sex? The word JUSTICE seems to be significant, no? THe bunny ear hat he buys for his little daughter says USA-CHAN (usagi being Japanese for bunny).

This movie is about the ONSET OF THE NEW.

Here is the Higgins. I think the difference between the straight "Design black" (a.k.a. just waterfproof black) and the "Black Magic" is that Black Magic gives a glossier finish and is a fraction more resilient and waterproof than Design. It is also more viscous, and smells much more like ammonia (higher shellac?).

These are the ones I just bought and I am VERY happy with both.

Luma white watercolor: extremely viscous ( gouache-like ) and smells like gouache too, but,(!) and here comes the awesome part. That bleed proof label ain't no joke. This stuff is WHITE. I brushed it over wet black ink in that picture and you can see it barely grayed it down. It is absolutely, without question, bad ass. Unfortunately non-waterproof, but you can't have it all.

Pro Black. Smells and feels like black acrylic. More viscous than Black magic but still liquid. Even more glossy. And really, really opaque and SUPREMELY waterproof. It has a funny cracking texture when dry if you lay it on too thick and it doesnt work too well over other media, but lay it on paper and it's ironclad, as far as I can tell.

Both are a pleasure to work with.

This was done to try the new inks. I bought a "ProBlack" and and "Luma" white watercolor.

The first pic is the unadulterated scan. You can see all the messy parts that happened because I didn't want to wait for the materials to dry. The pic on the left is as close to a "comic" black and white as I could get it. it's hard to get smooth edges in duotone when your scan is so anti-aliased. I wonder how the pros do it.

There is a program called Artrage. It emulates traditional media better than painter and, given the lack of pretense, is, I think, admirable. If you developed this program, my cheers go to you because youre an art STUD. Its got some innovative palette layout also that might not work with a more complicated program but for quick studies is great. The full version costs only 25$ and you can download the trial at www.artrage.com/artrage.html . I dont think it is the best choice for finished work, but its fun as hell to sketch with. You should all check it out!
P.S. The pencil tool is the best, I think: makes you feel like Picasso.

Toiyabe national forest, northof yosemite. The best part was, I saw tons of critters of all sizes. The worst part was, you freeze your nuts off at night.
Firstly, heres a painting so sloppy, everyone can tell the thought of bears didnt leave my mind.

Secondly, I fished a drowning dragonfly out of the lake, where it fell in the heat of passion and was abandoned by its mate after having consummated the "thing". It was very sluggish and wouldnt fly away so i brought it with me so I could study it closer . However, it died after a day, without ever regaining the vigour to fly and so I kept it as a cool souvenir. Hey , at least he did the deed and so the halls of dragonfly valhalla probably welcomed him. Lo there do I see my father...
Expectedly, it looked much prettier when it was alive.
